An owner-led general contractor that treats every job — a kitchen, a bath, a basement, a TV and fireplace buildout wall — as the one you'll show people. Quoted honestly, built carefully, finished the way it was promised. Licensed, insured and bonded, serving Maryland.
Most contractors are judged on the day they finish. We'd rather be judged a year later — on how the work has held up, and on whether we did what we said we'd do.
Derrick scopes the job, prices it, and stays on it. You deal with the owner from the first walkthrough to the final walk, never a rotating cast of project managers.
A written estimate with every material and every hour on it. No padding on the front end and no surprise change orders at the back.
Maryland Home Improvement Commission license #163793, fully insured and bonded, work pulled to permit and built to code.
Floors protected, debris hauled, punch list closed before we call it done. The job is finished when you'd show it to someone.
Every project below was designed, framed, wired and finished by our crew. Tap any photo to see it larger.
A plain living-room wall became the whole point of the room: white ledger stone centered on a 72-inch linear electric fireplace, black fluted panels on both sides with wall sconces, and a recessed TV and soundbar. New luxury vinyl plank throughout.
A floor-to-ceiling charcoal panel wraps a recessed linear fireplace and the TV above it. A solid oak floating mantel warms it up; floating shelves on the side carry the line around the corner. Quiet, modern, and photographed constantly.
Down to the studs and back: large-format marble-look porcelain, a black fluted floating vanity with brass pulls, a backlit oval mirror, and a pair of brass pendants. Small room, full renovation, every trade in-house.
A wider look across recent jobs. Filter by room, or tap any photo.
From a single TV mount to a full renovation, the same standard applies: measured twice, quoted honestly, finished cleanly.
Stone, fluted, chevron, board-and-batten or painted panel — framed and wired around a linear electric fireplace, TV, mantel and lighting. Our signature, trademarked as Panel Wall Dazzu™ — over 500 custom walls and counting.
Cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting, flooring and the plumbing and electrical to make it work. Full renovations or a smart refresh.
Tub-to-shower conversions, large-format tile, floating vanities, niches and lighting. Tile is one of the trades we're known for.
Framing, drywall, flooring, bars, media rooms and in-law suites that feel like the rest of the house.
New walls, closets and bulkheads; drywall hanging, finishing and repair — holes, water damage, cracked seams — blended so you can't find the patch.
Recessed lighting, sconces, pendants, under-cabinet and LED accent lighting, ceiling fans, dimmers and outlets, all done to code.
Mounted, leveled and wired clean — cables hidden in the wall, soundbar and components tucked out of sight. Where a lot of our clients start.
Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile and carpet — installation, replacement and repair, with baseboards and transitions finished right.
New decks, rebuilds and repairs in pressure-treated or composite, with railings, stairs and lighting.
Interior painting, doors, trim, crown molding and fixtures — the details that make a house feel finished.
Scoped, budgeted renovations for flips, rentals and homes about to hit the market — built to the number that makes the deal work.
Offices, lobbies and small retail: accent walls, lighting, flooring and refreshes done around your business hours.
Pick a surface, add the fireplace, mantel and lighting, move the light. When it looks like your room, send it to Derrick and we'll price it.
Most feature walls go up on an existing drywall surface. Drag the divider — the right side is the design you built above.
Derrick Adepegba is a native Washingtonian who started Dazzu Remodeling with handyman services — the small jobs that get you into someone's home and earn the next call. From there he pioneered the 3D accent and board-and-batten walls that became a fan favorite and still are today: over 500 custom-designed walls and counting.
That's how Panel Wall Dazzu™ was born, and the magic happened with every wall. No two were designed the same, and that's what made Dazzu Remodeling unique. Today the custom TV/fireplace buildouts are quite the rave.
Dazzu has grown from Derrick doing it all himself into a small but mighty team that covers everything from A to Z — full renovations, no job or project too big or too small — with Derrick scoping, pricing and signing off on every one.
A buildout wall is framed, wired, paneled and lit in a matter of days — and then it's the first thing everyone sees for the next twenty years. That's the standard we build to, in every room of the house.
You deal directly with the owner from the first measurement to the last coat of paint, and a crew that builds to his standard.
Derrick comes out, measures, and listens to what you want the room to do.
Line-item pricing with materials and a timeline. No padding, no surprise change orders.
Stone, panels, tile, fixtures. We'll steer you to what lasts and what looks expensive without being expensive.
A dedicated Dazzu crew, floors protected, debris hauled, updates from Derrick as we go.
We finish the punch list before we call it done. Then you take the photos.
